Darren ( Cowboy ) Yarborough

Darren Yarborough is a native Texan, born and raised in the eastern suburbs of Dallas.  Currently he lives and works in a small community in East Texas with his wife and the occasional adult child that comes home to roost for a short while.  Between he and his wife, they have 3 terrific sons and 4 wonderful grandchildren.  Darren's artistic talent seems to be a family trait, one that his father passed on to him and that has been passed on to his own son, Jason.  He is primarily self taught with occasional lessons and input from his friends and other members of the Northeast Texas Fine Arts Alliance (NETFAA).

He and his brother are the owners of Solar Accessories, a skylight manufacturer in Terrell, Texas.   They have been in business since 1976 and supply skylights throughout the region. 

The inspiration for his work comes from his love of nature, from the rough mountainside to dry deserts to the lush colors of floral blooms.  When not painting he keeps busy with his responsibilities as Treasurer of NETFAA,  appearing at various art shows as well as the ongoing development and maintenance of his home acreage.
